Dr Gary Smith
Prosthodontist
Gary Smith completed his B.D.Sc (Hons) at the University of Queensland in 1979 and his M.D.Sc in Prosthodontics (also at the University of Queensland) in 1988. He is a Prosthodontist in private practice in the Brisbane CBD but also has a part-time appointment at the University of Queensland Dental School as the Senior Lecturer in Removable Prosthodontics.
He was the Secretary of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society in 2009 - 10, and is currently the Federal Secretary of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International.
He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontists and is currently on the Executive of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Dental Association. His main dental interests include Removable Partial Denture Design, Complete Dentures and Overdentures, both Implant Retained and Tooth Supported. Gary has lectured extensively throughout Australia on many Removable Prosthodontic subjects.
