"eDen" is an online education site designed specifically for Dental Professionals.

Jennifer Craig and Karen McDonagh are the directors of eDen Education, both of which have different skills and experiences to make this site work for all dental professionals.

Jennifer has been a Dental Prosthetist in private practice for 25 years and also a part time teacher of Dental Prosthetics with TAFE.

Being constantly involved in the dental education side of things has kept Jennifer in touch with advancements in the industry, and she knows all too well the importance of continuing education. She has attended conferences and seminars over the years and thoroughly enjoys the interaction with colleagues, and sharing and benefiting from other peoples experiences, however, it's difficult to imagine taking more time out of a busy schedule, along with work, family and everything else we do on a daily basis.

Karen's background is in sales, marketing, and training in the health and beauty industry, and has also had experience in online learning.

As of July 1st 2010, compulsory dental CPD hours have been introduced for all dental health professionals as part of their registration requirements. When talk of all this began, Jennifer became aware of a general feeling of concern among colleagues about the time and cost involved in gaining these hours, and the feasibility of taking more time out of a busy practice, and travelling to live events, particularly for those people in more remote areas.

After selling her practice 2 years ago, Jennifer continued to teach while searching for a new challenge. The introduction of the new Dental CPD regulation provided the perfect answer, not only for her as a passionate educator, but also for her fellow dental professionals.

An online approach to continuing dental education seemed to be the logical progression to compliment the current face to face experiences. This would enable busy professionals to gain some of their dental CPD hours at a time convenient to them, in the comfort of their own home or office.

Jennifer and Karen have formed an advisory board of industry dental professionals to guide the direction of the eDen education, and ensure our content is up to date and relevant for our members.

Our aim is to make your ‘eDen’ online dental education experience a thoroughly engaging one, which will excite you and leave you with a desire for more.
