FAQ's

What if I dont use my 20 hours during my membership will they carry over to the next year?

Initial 20 hours allocated with your membership will expire after 12 months so it is important you use them within the duration of your membership. Extra packs of hours that have not been completed within your membership will carry over to the following year, providing you choose to renew. All membership renewals come with 20 CPD hours

I am an OHPA/ADOHTA member, do I get a discount on the extended hour packs?

No, your discount is only available on your membership signup and membership renewals. Extra hours are priced at a competitive hourly rate and are charged at the full fee

What is the difference between a membership and just buying packs of hours?

A membership lasts 12 months and comes with 20CPD hours. Each year your membership expires and will need to be renewed. Packs of extra hours are only available to members who would like to gain, or need further hours during the course of their membership

Does my account update live webinars automatically?

No, Your CPD account will not be immediately updated after a live viewing. Once the webinar has been uploaded onto the site and we can verify all attendee’s, our admin department will update your account. Please be patient as this can take up to two weeks due to the growing number of members.

Are webcasts live?

No webcasts are events and conferences we have filmed and uploaded our site

How do I register for a live webinar?

There are two ways to register for live events. As a member of eDen, you can go into your account each month and register for the current ‘live’ event though ‘My Den’. Once you register, you will be sent a unique link to your registered email address. This link is where you access the webinar on the evening of the presentation so, keep this email in a safe and accessible place.  In addition, members of eDen are sent a live registration link to their email each month. This is done as a reminder so you don’t miss out. All members are responsible to register themselves for live events.

What is the difference between a Webinar and a Webcast?

A webinar is much like watching a power point presentation, as you would in a live seminar situation, however you are listening to the presenter but can't see him/her. Webinars are conducted live online as well as being recorded. A webcast is a live event, like a conference, that has been filmed by our film crew and uploaded onto our site. You will see the speaker up on stage presenting to his audience.

How do I update my CPD account once I have completed a course?

Each time you view a recorded webinar you will be required to do a short 5 question quiz.  An 80% pass rate will update your account automatically with that CPD. Each time you view a webcast until the very end, your account will be updated automatically without doing a quiz.

What is on the site once I join?

eDen launched its online education platform for Dental Professionals in April 2011 and we are building our library of content on a continuous basis.  Our site consists of live and recorded presentations delivered by professionals and specialists in the industry. As the site progresses, you will see more and more recourses available to members, including our blog, articles, newsletters and new contributors. We ask that you enjoy the journey as we grow the platform.
